Exquisite Corpse:
Martian Cat
This sketch takes a different part from each of the three sketches in our group, making up
a strange cat figure unlike anything on our planet. Its head tilts left to right as you move the curser across the image.
If you press your mouse, it'll lift its arms up and drop once the mouse is released.
The head was taken from my own sketch:
I mismatched characteristics of my two cats and made this sketch, where all lines and shapes can be easily drawn in p5. I intended it to be abstract and geometric, looking flat and playful.
The upper body was taken from Mahima's sketch:
"I made this monster with a charming smile with its very uninterested looking caterpillar friend. It likes to be called Taisor and has been in a very long symbiotic relationship with the caterpillar. Now they’re inseparable and they especially enjoy going on morning walks together."
The lower body was taken from Lavannya's sketch:
"I’m a fan of Radio head, I took that quite literally and drew a radio-head basically a person with a radio head. It’s a bizarre surreal character."
Reflection
I first made the sketch in Photoshop, where I pieced different parts of the body together and tried out different ways of composition. I finnally settled with this one, and designed it in p5 so that there can be some interaction with the charactor. In order to make it look more three dimensional, I added a custom shape shadow on the bottom at last.
